CERT Advisory CA-2001-07 describes a vulnerability in some of the "globbing" routines which incorrectly manage buffers and may allow remote users to execute arbitrary code on the FTP server. The issue was discovered by COVERT Labs at PGP Security who describe their findings at: http://www.pgp.com/research/covert/advisories/048.asp CERT Advisory CA-2001-07 is available from: http://www.cert.org/advisories/CA-2001-07.html 4.
